Focusing on steelmaking, ALCHIMIA seeks an optimal mix of strategies to reduce energy consumption, emissions, and waste while ensuring continued high-quality production.

ALCHIMIA’s objectives directly align with several SDGs. Through a focus on SDG 7 (Clean and Affordable Energy), it optimizes energy consumption in steelmaking, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources. Additionally, ALCHIMIA promotes monitoring to reduce energy use and waste, fostering a more sustainable steel production process.

Furthermore, ALCHIMIA aligns with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by promoting innovation through artificial intelligence and new technologies.  Its emphasis on reducing waste and improving resource efficiency also corresponds to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
