ALCHIMIA: Bridging the Gap in the European AI Innovation Ecosystem Through Digital Innovation Hubs

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, artificial intelligence is revolutionizing industries. ALCHIMIA project is at the forefront, supporting the digitalization of Europe’s metallurgy sector while fostering sustainable growth.
The main objective of ALCHIMIA is to ensure the greatest levels of safety, trust, and smooth communication between artificial intelligence-powered industrial solutions and workers in those industries.
ALCHIMIA outcomes are conceived as products, making them exploitable by European industries beyond the project lifetime.
These outcomes can be applied not only in the industrial arena; many of our solutions are relevant across a wide range of sectors. For instance, results such as federated learning, human collaboration findings, and life cycle assessments can be beneficial in various fields (health, security, climate, etc.).
On the other hand, European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), supported by the European Commission, form a community of tech and business experts that assist organizations on their digital transformation journeys. Furthermore, EDIHs are essential to the European AI innovation ecosystem, aiding organizations in adopting AI technologies.
ALCHIMIA will host a webinar to make its results accessible to companies across the European Union, leveraging the collaboration with DIH networks.
In the upcoming ALCHIMIA webinar (Thursday, November 13 · 10am – 12:30pm CET), we will present the project’s main results. Our primary goal is to equip Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) with ALCHIMIA knowledge, enabling them to convey this acquired knowledge to European SMEs. This will help encourage the adoption of these outcomes and foster broader collaboration within their networks. We invite DIHs and industry stakeholders to join us on this transformative event. Let’s collaborate to leverage ALCHIMIA’s outcomes and drive the adoption of AI across Europe.
Participants will learn about Federated, Continual, and Transfer Learning applications; AI-based process optimization; and Human–AI collaboration in real industrial environments, alongside the presentation of cutting-edge AI models. The event will close with an open discussion on collaboration opportunities and relevant funding calls.
