Life Cycle Management Conference (LCM 2025) – Palermo, 9–12 September 2025

The ALCHIMIA project participated in the 11th edition of the Life Cycle Management Conference (LCM 2025), held in Palermo under the theme “Global to Local”. LCM is one of the world’s leading forums for environmental, economic, and social sustainability, with a strong focus on practical solutions for implementing life cycle approaches in industry, science, NGOs, and public institutions.

ALCHIMIA was represented by project partner Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA), who presented the poster: “Using Life Cycle Assessment to support the selection of the most efficient circular economy strategies in the steelmaking industry: learnings from the ALCHIMIA, GreenHeatEAF and PURESCRAP projects.”

Through this contribution, ALCHIMIA showcased how Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) can be applied as a decision-support tool to optimize industrial processes and guide the steel sector towards more sustainable and circular economy pathways.
